The Nauset Model Railroad Club, Inc. was founded in December 1989
by a group of model railroad enthusiasts on the Lower Cape. The Club
has grown steadily and currently has over 75 members. We meet to
operate trains, build layouts and learn from each other.

Open Houses
Holidays: During the holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years we
will hold Open Houses at the Train Room located at 180 Route 6A,
Orleans on Saturdays from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Trains will be running
on all of our layouts and admission is free! See News Release
Summer: During the months of July and August, we will hold Open
Houses every Wednesday from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Train
Room located at 180 Route 6A, Orleans. Again, all of our layouts will
be in operation and as always, admission is free! See our press
release for more information. We hope to see you here!

Please feel free to stop in and see our train layouts. We are always
happy to see new faces and answer any questions you may have
about our trains and our club. We are normally open on Friday nights
for club working sessions, and of course, during our club Open Houses
at the Train Room at 180 Route 6A, Orleans. Please see the What’s

Friday Night Work Sessions
Friday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 are club work session nights. This
time is used by club members to socialize, work on trains and layouts,
and attend club committee meetings. Members of the public are
invited to stop by the train room and discuss trains, layouts, problems
they may be having with their train equipment, etc. It is also a great
time to learn more about the NMRC and benefits of membership.
Since this time is reserved for work sessions for our club members,
trains may or may not be running on any one of the layouts. Please
see the “Open Houses” section for times when all layouts will be
running for the benefit of the public. Please note that the first Friday of

reserved for the monthly club business meeting.
